The Kopa was an interesting addition to the Spyderco lineup.  Like the Kiwi, it represented something of a departure from the "tactical" look shared by most Spyderco knives by virtue of its bolster and scales construction.  When it was introduced, Sal announced it would be produced in small batches, each with a different scale material but otherwise identical.  The first Kopa version was released in early 2005 and fifteen more versions followed until the series was retired at the end of 2009.  The black micarta version was originally scheduled to be the first in the series, but instead, the cocobolo was released first.  The photos in this gallery are arranged in release order, so you can follow the series as you browse through them.
